SUMMARY:April Women's Safety Seminar
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Monthly Women’s Safety Seminar with Local Guest Speakers\n\n\nThis 2 hour gathering is designed to help women like you cultivate a safety mindset and build confidence. We have local community advocates discussing multiple techniques and legal & community resources\, to empower you in nurturing safety for yourself and those around you. \n\nWe will share short demonstrations of common potentially-threatening situations\, and how they can be avoided or escaped quickly.\n\n\nA discussion about “Fight\, Flight\, or Freeze” and what breathing techniques you can use to soothe your nervous system in times of trauma or anxiety.\n\n\nWith an intro by local women\, who will be sharing their personal assault stories that inspired them to make changes in their lives\, and become advocates for other women.\n\nTwo lucky participants will win a safety tool they can take home. \nTicket fees will be donated to the Center for Community Solutions.\n\n\n\nCCS is committed to helping survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault lead safer and healthier lives. \n\n\n\nAfter the presentation\, we will have a mix & mingle where you can ask questions and learn about taking a self-defense class. \n\n\nNow the legal mumbo jumbo: By purchasing a ticket\, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Terms and Conditions in its entirety and agree to abide by it as it is listed below. \n~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ \nThe Legal Stuff You Must Agree To:\n(Terms and Conditions) \nEvent sponsors have made every effort to make this event a safe and productive gathering.
